f.u.n.k.e Mobile VHF Radio FSG8

Now certified for ATC operations in Germany

Buchloe, July 2019: German avionics manufacturer f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS GmbH today announced the certification of their 8,33 kHz capable Mobile VHF Radio FSG8 for ATC operations in Germany by the respective German authority, the "Bundesamt für Flugsicherung (BAF)".



The 8,33 kHz capable Mobile VHF Radio FSG8 made by German avionics manufacturer f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS has now received official certification for ATC operations.

The FSG8 has been tested against the requirements for equipment to be used for Air Traffic Control operations. It thus meets the guidelines and recommendations of ICAO and, in particular, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in Germany.

FSG8 latest model in a series of hand-helds by f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS

Funkwerk Avionics has acquired the rights to produce and market the hand-held transceivers FSGxx from Dittel Messtechnik GmbH, in Landsberg/Lech, Germany since September 1st, 2013.

The FSG4 and FSG5 are robust hand-held transceivers with 760 channels in a frequency range between 118.000 and 136.975 MHz. The units have a transmitting power of 1 Watt and include a built-in battery and antenna.

The FSG8 is intended to be the replacement unit for the current FSG4 and FSG5 hand-helds. It complies with the new requirements for 8,33 kHz channel separation. The FSG8 has now been certified as per the above press release.



The FSG8 hand-held radio can now be used for ATC operations as per its latest certification.
